Drama Dock Theatre Company is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kelly Godell as its new Interim Artistic Director, marking an exciting new chapter in the company's creative journey, and a continued commitment to bold, inclusive storytelling.

“As the new Interim Artistic Director,” shares Godell, “I’m honored to support this vibrant community of artists, audiences, and volunteers. Together, we’ll build on Drama Dock’s rich legacy and create space for connection, creativity, and meaningful theatrical work and we’ll have a little fun doing it.”

Godell steps into the role just in time to lead Drama Dock’s summer production of Sister Act, the feel-good musical comedy that celebrates finding your voice and the power of sisterhood. The show will run August 21–24 at the Vashon Center for the Arts, promising audiences a dazzling dose of joy, music, and soulful laughter.

Featuring a powerhouse cast of local and off island talent and beloved songs that fuse disco, gospel, and Motown, Sister Act is a celebration of community, courage, and the unexpected places we find connection. Under Godell’s artistic direction, the production is set to sparkle with infectious energy and heartfelt storytelling.
