Poultry In Motion
band bio:
HOW TO MAKE A MUSICAL GUMBO?
Take a Cajun fiddle and accordion playing rocket man from Louisiana. Add an LA song writing, guitar playing rocker. Now we need a funky bass from Chicago and definitely a soul singing drummer from Virginia. For a little extra seasoning how about some swampy Dobro and lap steel from up in the north woods of Wisconsin? Not quite right yet? Oh yah, you definitely need a guitar / mandolin / banjo slinging song writer (the sensitive kind of course) from back in Turkey Branch, Missouri. Cook it all up and what do you call this exotic dish? Why it’s obviously a “Poultry In Motion” gumbo.
The Poultry are:
Wilson Abbott on Dobro and Lap steel.
Steve Amsden plays acoustic guitar and mando-like things.
Chris Anderson does lead and rhythm guitar duties.
Gib Dammann whackin' the drum kit.
Bob Kueker laying down a solid bass line groove.
Dave Lang, on accordion, fiddle and mandolin.
