Martin Feveyear is the owner of Feveyear/Master/Mix based on Vashon Island, focusing primarily on record production, mixing, mastering, and songwriting. Born in Suffolk, England, he opened Seattle's Jupiter Studios in 1996, going behind the board for releases from The Presidents of the USA, Mark Lanegan, Mudhoney, Duff McKagan, Screaming Trees, Shelby Earl, Brandi Carlile, Damien Jurado, and that's just to name a few.

Mode Music Studios has been offering music lessons for all ages and skill levels since 2014. They’re teaching style incorporates all styles of learning – technique, ear training, sight reading, chart reading, composition, arranging, singing, and songwriting for students from the earliest musical introductions to their first live shows and beyond. Private lessons allow the freedom to apply different approaches to each individual student's learning style. Mode’s nonprofit, Mode Music and Performing Arts, offers group classes and camps in visual art and theater and gives students the ability to work together in a collaborative environment while providing partial and full scholarship opportunities. Mode even creates opportunities for real-life performance experience by hosting all ages open mics and giving many students their first gigs! It's never too late- or too early- to learn to play an instrument.

Raven Cries Recording Studio was established on Vashon Island in 2000 to serve musicians on Vashon and surrounding areas by providing a full-service turnkey music production opportunity in one convenient location. Jeff Woollen, Owner/Producer/Engineer has over 30 years of professional recording experience, stemming from a history of music and songwriting efforts. The studio features a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in a purpose-built facility which includes a ‘live’ room and three isolation booths, one of which houses the studio’s prize 6’10” semi-concert grand piano. I encourage musicians of all experience levels to come in for a no-cost conversation about your music and recording aspirations!

SMASH works to keep our beloved music community healthy by providing access to mental health and substance use disorder therapy, dental care, telehealth and preventive care. We recently launched online services to help during the COVID-19 crisis. The current music climate has created a perfect storm for musicians. Streaming music, along with music pirating, have decimated earnings from music sales. Touring costs have continued to rise while show guarantees have continued to lower. Musicians often live at a barely subsistent level and one of the first things to go is preventive health care. We have had far too many cases of catastrophic illness in the music community that could have been avoided with regular doctor visits. The Affordable Health Care act and Medicaid are important and helpful resources, but there are still a lot of people falling through the cracks. SMASH’s aim to to fill this void and help keep our music community healthy and thriving. Our goal at SMASH is to provide education, advocacy, and healthcare for Seattle area musicians and music oriented professionals. Find out more right HERE.
