“If I Only Had a Brain” a talk on creativity with Bruce Morser
Vashon Center for the Arts
Wednesday, April 16
7:30pm
Bruce Morser once pondered, “Ever notice how the Scarecrow worries about not having a brain but cleverly solves a ton of problems? Creativity is hard to locate—difficult to pin down. Its source is everywhere, almost scary, like vague flashes of lightning through a dense evening fog. My best ideas seem to come from behind me. I feel but rarely see them.”
Using examples from his retrospective exhibition in the VCA Gallery (through April), Bruce will describe his own unschooled approach to creativity: a joyful, life-long pursuit of making original stuff.
