VHS Theatre Presents: “Ride The Cyclone” – A Must-See Musical!
Students from the Vashon High School theatre program are bringing something absolutely unforgettable to the stage this March: Ride The Cyclone! This darkly funny musical offers the audience an unforgettable ride. This musical has been a hit everywhere it’s been staged, and now the VHS theatre program is taking it on with their own distinctive spin. With an amazing cast, unforgettable music and visuals, Ride The Cyclone is a must see!! Without giving too much away, Ride The Cyclone is about a choir group of six students living in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, whose lives are forever changed by a very unexpected (possibly deadly) accident. Guided by the mysterious fortune telling machine, The Amazing Karnak, each teen gets their own moment to shine in a battle of the bands sort of scenario, as they reflect on their lives, hopes, dreams, and regrets. It’s funny, weird, and will definitely deliver some emotional whiplash.

A talented cast of VHS students will act out the story starring:
- Ash O’Malley as Ocean O’Connell Rosenburg: The super ambitious narcissist
- Sebastian Gallez as Mischa Bachinski: The Ukrainian bad boy with a soft side
- Ari Anderson as Constance Blackwood: The nicest girl in town
- CJ Clemmensen as The Amazing Karnak: The mysterious fortune telling machine
- Sky Skiena as Noel Gruber: The hopeless romantic
- Leo Watson as Ricky Potts: The not so quiet-quiet sci-fi nerd
- Amali Lewis as Jane Doe: A haunting voice
When and Where?
Ride The Cyclone will be staged at the Vashon High School Theatre:
- March 20 at 3:30 PM (Special Afternoon Performance)
- March 21 & 22 at 7:00 PM
Please note! This show is full of raunchy and sometimes explicit language and situations, reflecting the honest imaginations and experiences of its teen characters. Previews of potentially upsetting language will be available on the show's website and at the door.
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for students and seniors. Get there early. This show is set to be a smashing success!
