Carrie Jennings at the Dig Deep Greenhouse
Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 PM
Carrie Jennings is a vocalist, flugelhorn player, and guitarist based in Seattle, WA. Her music is deliberate and sultry, combining melancholic singer-songwriter lyricism with soulful horn lines and dreamy indie pop aesthetics. Her performances are both tender and bold, with lush instrumentals and endearing stage banter. She is a storyteller and groove maker inviting people together to explore the depths of our human experience through song. Before moving to Seattle, Carrie spent a decade immersed in the Denver music scene performing with soul/R&B artist Wes Watkins and touring the West Coast with indie-soul band Mama Magnolia. Carrie has been honored to open for acclaimed artists including The California Honeydrops, Snarky Puppy, The Dip, PJ Morton, and St. Paul and the Broken Bones. She has performed at notable venues including Mission Ballroom, Coors Field, Mishawaka Amphitheatre, Chautauqua, and Levitt Pavilion, and at festivals including South by Southwest, Oregon Country Fair, Sawtooth Valley Gathering, Whale Rock, and WinterWonderGrass. She continues to tour and record with these groups, most recently co-headlining a tour with Wes Watkins in Colorado. Carrie released her debut EP “Good Tension” in 2023, and is now bringing her original music to life while putting down roots in the Pacific Northwest. She has performed her music regionally at venues including High Dive Seattle, Spanish Ballroom, Tractor Tavern, and Al’s Den, and she just finished her first tour along the Washington & Oregon coast. She is currently a resident performing artist at Monaco Seattle, and continues to write, record, and perform her original music across the West Coast.
